Gate’s longtime director is Patty Fenn (Roberts), with whom he may have once had a romantic relationship but whose day-to-day interactions are now routine and strictly business.
Clooney plays Lee Gates, the flashy star of a cable business channel - sort of a Jim Cramer type on steroids. Roberts reunited with her “Oceans” co-star George Clooney in this thriller which marked the fourth feature film of director Jodie Foster.
